We went for a little break to a strange place next to a power station.

The weather wasn't great the first day, but it got better the next. We wasn't sure what to expect but the power station was small and didn't seem to be doing a lot.

Here is the power station



It's situated on the blustery Loire River where it heads out to sea.



Now we need to find somewhere to stay. :91:

There must be somewhere to stay down here.



That's odd, I'm sure I saw a house on top of a chimney.



Let's check the other side. ............................... It is a house and a tree on top of a chimney.



Better get a closer look.



Yep it's a little house, I think we should look a little closer in the next post.

It's a bit grey this morning so we watched some boats for a while.



This one is going for a load of coal.

For the power station




Ok it's brightening up a bit now so we'll wonder into the village.



Some building work going on, looks like the place will soon become a bit too popular.



But for now there's not much going on, so in the next post we'll head back to the little house.

We are now walking down the lane through the woods.



They put these rocks in to stop vehicles coming down and overnight parking is prohibited.

Now were sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine watching the sun go down.



A group of party makers have come up the river to watch it and give us a wave.









Night Night

Morning: Car packed and ready to go home. It was a great couple of nights away and very peaceful considering there is a power station near by, I hope you enjoyed your break.

After our visit we received a feedback email. I did fill it in but it has never got published.

We did give it a good rating apart from a couple of things we felt should have not happened. So as they don't want to publish our feedback I will add it here.

#1 Although we had booked for two days there was only enough breakfast for one day. The price did include breakfast, but it was very minimal.

#2 It was nice to have some water in the fridge, but one small bottle wasn't going to go far.

#3 Tea and Coffee was supplied. But although there was enough tea for about 20 cups, there was only enough coffee for two cups.

#4 The worst part was that we had to go into town to get some toilet paper. They had left us with about 1/4 of a roll and there was none to be found anywhere. What does it take to leave a couple of spare rolls?

So although we would recommend a visit, I think they should check out who is looking after the place.

Take your own breakfast, water and coffee and you will be fine. But don't forget your own toilet paper, and don't bother giving a review on their site as they probably won't publish it.
